I purchased this specific brand of ramen because I have seen it used in numerous "Fire Noodle Challenges" and wanted to see just how spicy they really are. While they certainly have a "kick," I found the spiciness to be at a moderate level--moderate when compared to the reactions of some of the challengers on YouTube who tried the noodles. I would say the heat is on par with some of the spicier wings found at Buffalo Wild Wings or similar restaurants. What did surprise me was how good the sauce tasted. Regardless of the heat level, the flavor is excellent and I'm happy to have tried these. I will certainly order more of these.

When it comes to these Asian noodles, i'm an expert at this point. Years and years of consumption..I eat all types of varieties 4 days a week just about. So let me tell you about the Samyang Spicy Korean Noodles. These damn noodles are so delicious. Yes they're hot, but tasty hot, addicting i'd say. It reminds me of those Flamin Hot Cheetos flavor. The sauce is like a thick chili oil that has some sweetness to it. Slight sweetness with an umami chicken thing going on, it works well to balance that burn. The noodles themselves are thicker then your normal ramen noodles, they have great chew and are of very good quality. I prepare my noodles with ground turkey and add a bunch of herbs to it for freshness. A side of veggies to counter the noodles and you're good to go. YES you will stop eating them for a minute because your lips will burn and some sweat will develop on your forehead :) What I do is make sure the noodles are wrapped around my chopsticks or fork well before going into the mouth, that way you avoid touching your lips. That's where it's at trust me. Your mouth won't burn as much as your lips will, so just do the technique i described you should be fine. THE PAIN IS WORTH THE LOVE GO FOR IT!!!!

Honestly if you have any sort of West Indian background this isn't very spicy at all. I bought this for the spicy ramen challenge and while it did not deliver on the heat i expected or read about, it is delicious. Omg best pack ramen I ever had. No extra seasonings needed. I normally add more spice and pepper to mine but this was pretty much perfect as is and I as well as my friends were blown away. Def will buy again. By the way I am from a Caribbean country so whoever can get this nearby for cheaper are so lucky :)

When the package came, the noodles were all in one piece, no broken or smashed pieces! The instructions are easy to follow, of course after watching all the challenge videos, most people probably won't need to rely on the instructions on the package. The noodle itself is pretty hot. At first, it doesn't seem too bad, but as you keep eating the heat rises. These ramen also had a hint of sweetness to me, which I really enjoyed. I can usually handle my spicy really well, I wouldn't rate the spiciness as intense as the internet makes it to be. Personally, I would give the spice rating a 7/10. Overall, I really enjoy the ramen and I even crave it sometimes!

These are indeed quite spicy, but I found that I quickly built up a tolerance to it. My one issue with these is that, when had by itself, the flavor was basically just "spicy" and nothing else. I tried bolstering this with some dried veggies from a soup mix and I found that this improved the flavor massively. I definitely recommending adding something to this rather than just having the noodles plain, even though this is something I don't usually feel the need to do with other noodles. Other than that, it comes with a pretty big noodle block with thick, chewy noodles. Be careful, as the chili sauce/broth is very red and oily and can stain clothing quite easily if you aren't careful with it.

These noodles are so chewy and tasty with the seasoning. I normally put tons of Sriracha and Tapatio on everything I eat and I could only put half the packet to have these noodles be enjoyable. I enjoy spicy foods and always get the spicy option at restaurants or add hot sauce but I wouldn't say that I can drink a whole bottle of Tapatio and be okay. That's what it feels like if I use the entire packet of spice. The spice is a liquid paste that you put in the noodles after you cook and drain them. It's not to be eaten soupy. I tried a whole packet and then started to only use half the packet. It's a "just to be spicy" spicy.. It actually tastes really freaking good. I finished 5 packs in two days, LOL. Had to stop myself from ordering more because I didn't want to get addicted and sick of them. I would highly recommend these noodles!

I tried both Samyang with Halal logo and the regular one, I can tell the difference. One with the Halal logo was less spicy/less savory than the one without the Halal logo. Both were tasty, but I honestly prefer the regular one. Thou, my fellow Jews and Muslim friends should stick with the ones with the halal logo. I usually cut the portion by half and a half, so I can eat the rest later (I am a small portion eater). This ramen dried quickly (the texture won't as nice as the fresh out of your wok), so best to eat them all at once. Not recommended to eat any ramen on a daily regular basis, but this ramen will be a great quick "I am lazy to do anything" food escape. If you're a spicy food lover, you don't want to pass this ramen. Give it a try. One of a few best spicy ramen I ever had, and definitely best of Samyang ramen I ever tried.

I ordered these after seeing everyone try them in the Spicy Noodle Challenge that has been circulating online. I must admit I was not disappointed! The noodles are spicy but not as everyone made them seem. I like spicy foods so they weren't that spicy to me. I did break out in a small sweat while eating them but nothing major I was able to consume a whole bowl without drinking anything until I was finished. I would definitely suggest purchasing these. The flavor is a nice chicken flavor that is slightly sweet with a kick behind it.
